I bought the exam voucher 3 months ago, still haven't given 312-50 V9 exam. I was gonna schedule it a few weeks ago, when EC-Council announced v10. EC-Council support gives me vague answers, they keep saying follow the blueprint online which is v10 means that I should take 312-50 V10 exam. Bad news for me because I have no source to study for the additional material. I'll be pissed if i fail be a few ages due to the new topics that I'm probably not ready for.
They wouldn't say that the tests will be CEH v9 for a few more weeks. Now I am tempted to just give it in 10 days. I'm well prepared from v9 study guides.
Maybe there are some other candidates also need to know the answer which one I should go for?
1. What are the differences between the two?
If you have been studying for v9, then you will still be set for v10. Per their certification prep, "less than 5% has changed between versions.
2. What about the practical portion of the exam?
There is no practical portion of the exam. Too many people here are referring to v10 as a practical exam. CEH v10 and CEH Practical are two separate exams. If you signed up for exam code CEH 312-50 then you will be taking exam CEH 312-50. Which for the next 30 days will be CEH v9 and then will move into CEH v10. If you want to take the practical version then you will need to sign up for whatever that exam code will be.
In a word, we do suggest that don't buy the 312-50 exam voucher if you really want to take the practical exam. Any whichever CEH v9 VS v10 exam test you will take you'd better select CEH v10 will be better. If you decide to get the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (Practical) 312-50v10 exam questions material for your prep we could presented you 312-50V9 exam questions material for free.
